My attitude on this is that I'm not calling them because I think I can change their minds. I'm calling them because it is unthinkable to let them do this without hearing how evil and awful they are. My spite powers me. If I can get just 500 people a day to join me, we could fuck up their day.

I call Tommy Tuberville every fucking week, multiple times a week, because he can be evil but I don't have to let him do it without pushback. So I don't need to hear excuses. I call the dumbest senator in the country. 😂

Just sent a message to the useless protoplasm rep of mine who pretends to be a whip asking her what she plans on supporting and voting for this time.

You’ve got to go 3 phone numbers down the list to find a place Dick Durbin (D-IL) accepts voicemails, and the greeting urges you to use the online form instead to comment on the job he’s (not) doing. It’s gratifying to know he’s avoiding us. Here’s the good number: 217-492-4062

My phone adverse ass has been calling my Republican senators about the boats, I was already pissed, I am genuinely willing to call them everyday now. Add it to the morning routine with my meds and coffee. I am so fucking angry.

Colorado had a Repub senator back in Trump 1.0 whose office I would call daily. I got a person maybe 5% of the time but I still remember hearing one of them say “Oh God, it’s him again” one time when I did. Never been more proud.

I would also like to point out my messages to Tuberville are just ridiculous. I just ended this one "Anyway, please mark me down as hating all of this and wishing you had a spine. Thanks!"

I'm the same way! I don't harass my Republican representatives because I think I'll change their mind. I harass them so that their inability to do the right thing doesn't change who I am. And who I am is a person that calls out injustice when I see it.

Thanks for this reminder-- my alleged representatives could give yours a run for their money, so I've been ignoring them as a lost cause. Off to channel my inner mosquito! 🦟🦟🦟

This is so true & I tell people this all the time when they say they feel like there's no point. The point isn't to convince them, it's to make them feel the wrath of their constituents. 1/

My other best advice is to get other people to do it too. If a politician gets 100 calls from 1 person, they just think you have a lot of time on your hands. If they get 1 call each from 100 people, they know they got a problem. 2/2

Mine are among the decent ones, but I think it still helps to call so they have quantifiable data to share with their colleagues

Good reminder that I need to find out who our new ones are! (We just moved, which means we no longer have to deal with Jim Jordan, Jon Husted, and Bernie Moreno, PRAISE BABY JEBUS.)

Thanks! I bow in your direction. We all need to do this (I do it too). Even people with Dem Congress peeps need to call & demand they act & speak as strongly as possible, & thank them when they do. The GOP rules Congress, the SCOTUS 6 are Trump's Roy Cohn, the corp media is useless, it's up to us.

I call mine because they work for us constituents and are supposed to represent our interests, so I think it’s my responsibility to call and leave them detailed messages about what my interests are. And let them know whether I think they’re doing a good job representing me

I’m doing my part. Senator Roger Marshall: Topeka # 785-414-7501 DC # 202-224-4774 Senator Jerry Moran: Olathe # 913-393-0711 DC # 202-224-6521 Rep. Derek Schmidt: Topeka # 785-205-5253 DC # 202-225-6601
