Big day today for ending centuries of secrecy about who owns our land! A new government consultation will propose revealing who owns the vast majority of England and Wales. To get this over the line, I’ll need your help to send in supportive evidence! www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

Bolsonaro's loss is not just a loss for Bolsonaro. It's a loss for Trump. For Musk. For Milei. For Netanyahu. For Farage. For Meta and Zuckerberg. For the meat barons, the fossil fuel corporations, and the rest of the neocolonial looters. And it is a massive win for humanity and the living planet.

The lessons from Brazil and Serbia? Don't concede one inch of ground to the far right. Don't appease. Don't triangulate. Don't grovel. Don't say they have "legitimate concerns". Mobilise your base, and fight them with all the democratic means at your disposal.

And true to form, Farage and the Tories (Philp) respond by being totally dishonest about it… Freedom of movement with the EU requires EU citizenship. Immigration requires visas. Talk of ‘betrayal’ and ‘uncontrolled migration’ is the mark of a liar or a fool. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

In his Daily Mail column today, describing Trump as "toast," Richard Littlejohn mocks the President's attempted annexation of Greenland as being mad, using the phrase "nurse!" Here's what Littlejohn wrote about it when Trump first suggested it

The grouse moor industry continue to plead their pathetic case to keep burning moorland (because it maintains their heather monoculture, boosting numbers of grouse for shooting). You don't fight fire with fire, you fight it with water - as the government recognise bsky.app/profile/moor...

Ministers will fund farmers to remove “burnable materials in high-risk areas”. We welcome that. Three questions: - Will prescribed burning sit alongside cutting and grazing? - Can moorland managers apply, or only farmers? - Will the Action Plan adopt EFRA’s burning and licensing recommendations?

One fascinating characteristic about nationalists is that they invariably know sweet fa about their own nation's history. In fact, Poland has one of the oldest continuously existing Muslim minorities in Europe, with Muslims living there since the 14th century.

Let’s eradicate our life support systems – that’ll teach the liberals! It's not just about giving destructive industries what they want, important as this is. The likes of Trump and Bolsonaro will kill the planet out of a vengeful desire to hurt. My column. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Jenrick: “No one has done more than Nigel Farage to stand up against racism and the far right” Farage has exploded a brexity, anti-immigration, small boats, mass-deportations, ICE-style cruelty, riots and racism bomb on the UK and now stands back and tells us only he can fix the damage he’s caused.

I feel media will notice the fall in net migration when stat on 27/11/26 is lowest since 1997! Its already a fact, not a prediction, that net migration in 2026 lowest this century I am predicting Nov 27th ONS headline stat will confirm [year to June 2026] but public visa data already entails this.

In addition to her confusion about France, UK net migration is already plunging. She surely knows this. RW populist lying about migration is so fucking tiresome.

What does Kemi Badenoch think the level of immigration should be? Is everybody in the media & politics going to act surprised when the year to June 2026 statistic (on Nov 26th) falls below net 100k for first time this century Best estimate of net migration *now* (4th Q 2026) is zero, or negative

Among Keir Starmer's worst deeds were his legislative and rhetorical attacks on nature protection. In those two wasted years, we spiralled backwards, even from the Tory legacy. Since 1284, the wealth of Wales has been used to enrich English oligarchs, leaving Wales in poverty. And you can see the legacy today: six of the ten poorest boroughs in Britain are in South Wales - and all of them are places that generated massive wealth.
