Did anyone tell Gorsuch that he and his colleagues are the reason why democracy is “facing some tough times” because they granted Trump immunity and got him out of his trial??

JUST IN: Justice Neil Gorsuch tells @RonaldReagan civility conference US democracy is 'very fragile' & 'facing some tough times.' 'We are all in it together, and if we don't stay all in it together, it will crumble,' Gorsuch says, urging students to study history 'warts and all'

Gorsuch needs to RESIGN‼️...He & His ReTHUGlican Jerks -- NOT Justices -- are RESPONSIBLE for the MESS/Tough Times America is Facing‼️...They are beyond Dirty Politicians & should rightfully be IMPEACHED along with their Idol, Dumpster Man‼️

Yes, students, study his mother Anne Gorsuch. Study how she cut regulations under Reagan as his EPA administrator, how she promised companies they could ignore rules. An enemy of the environment she administrated just as her son is an enemy of justice despite being on that bench. Study it.

Exactly! I’m sick of people blaming Garland that Trump’s trial didn’t happen . . . the trial date was set way back in Aug ‘23 for Mar ‘24 . . . there was plenty of time! It was SCOTUS who engineered the delays so that the trial wouldn’t happen . . . it never mattered what Garland did . . .

A ridiculous thing for Gorsuch to say, but on the bright side... Roberts can hear about this little outing and be all 'oh-- he's thinks he's so smart and reasonable... everybody knows I'M the smart reasonable fascist enabler'....😁

The “tough times” he’s talking about is not the same as you and I may think it is. The tough times he’s talking about is all the complaining and pushback they are going to get when they try to complete the conversion to full dictatorship. The “4th estate” remains to be gutted and it’s in process

I hope Gorsuch realized that he and his like-minded colleagues behind their fancy robes and big building will be some of the first to crumble. If history is any indicator, it won't be pretty either.

Gorsuch seems oblivious to the fact that his appointment to SCOTUS and his performance thereafter are, not so much warts of history, more pock marks ie the scars caused by a POX on democracy— of which he is party, wilfully incubating and virulently spreading the severe ailment.

Who would've thought that the SCOTUS a body that is supposed to protect the Constitution is the body that is the Constitution's greatest threat.

"warts and all" while he and his colleagues have explicitly allowed the administration to bury any and all of those warts and do everything they can to erase history. Not even touching immunity, or letting him run again.

Some of us, such as justices, have more power to do something about it than others. I mean stuff like birthright citizenship, absolute immunity, fair elections, seem A good start

If we had A REAL DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, or FBI I'd hope the SCOTUS's would be investigated, the last 3 SCOTUS came under the Trump/Barr partnership. We do know that Kavanaugh's background check was put on a deep full stop, who knows about the other two SCOTUS?

It’s so cute the way the Maga Justices are publicly pretending to embrace democracy just as polls show a real chance that democrats— who are threatening substantial SCOTUS reforms — are kicking up a blue wave.

What he should have done was said, “I’m sorry, to you, your children and your grandchildren for what I have unleashed.” and then promptly committed Hari Kari.

Even worse then that is how all 9 on the court blew the 14th Amendment insurrection clause as it is clearly automatic, and we know that because the people who wrote it literally employed that way in the 1860's. It's the easiest originalist case they ever had, and they all blew it.

Gorsuch is in a stolen seat by Moscow Mitch from president Obama. If he believes in originality, he would never have taken the job. That he did was proof he's not a believer. He has zero legitimacy.

Of course NOT! This was a republican-friendly session, and you don't want to point out that you caused the problem when you are talking to anybody, let alone, your acolytes!

One recent wart on US history is Mitch McConnell’s unilateral decision to change the number of Supreme Court Justices from 9 to 8 for nearly a full year. Maybe in 2029 we should follow his precedent and change the number again. To 13.

Wait. He’s also telling the students to study bad shit within our history? Isn’t that what Trump is bitching about by putting those fucktwat signs in front of all the Smithsonian buildings saying the museum is basically teaching woke shit?

So, he didn’t notice in his assessment that he and his five partners in treachery are directly responsible??? I would say his analysis is a tad shaky.

I think he’s trying to adopt the John Roberts approach of maintaining surface respectability and adherence to the rule of law while the white hood is stowed deep in his closet.

“Democracy is ‘facing tough times’”. They keep phrasing this so that Trump’s people can read it as agreement with them. Anybody who doesn’t call out *why* democracy is facing tough times still doesn’t get it.
