NEW: A judge has ordered the Justice Department to produce grand jury materials for review in camera (behind closed doors) in the case against Don Lemon et al to see whether there are grounds to dismiss based on alleged prosecutor misconduct. DoJ has until 8/25 s3.documentcloud.org/documents/28...

Now, what are the odds a brand new Assistant US Attorney is going to be assigned to prosecute this case, maybe Monday morning, and he'll show up in court on Tuesday morning asking the judge for more time to familiarize himself with the case?

"In camera" is just legal speak for "the spicy parts are too radioactive for the public timeline." Even the courts know some receipts are better left in the dark.

So will they: 1. comply or 2. just move to drop all charges. I'm gonna go with option 2 Because they've been incompetent for so many of these, they don't wanna take the hit of being dismissed because they did some shady shit.

A move to dismiss will not automatically purge the DOJ lawyers of misconduct or fraud on the court issues. It would bring most to become yuuugely suspicious of a sudden dismissal.

The judge may restrict the ability of the DoJ to dismiss the charges. It's a distinction without a difference. It's like how a judge may not allow a lawyer off a case.

This is Todd Blanches DOJ, even if there was no epstein or IRS release or slush fund, the global prosecutorial malfeasance on his watch should have been enough to not confirm

I am not a fan of Don Lemon but, I support his personal rights that are being abused by this witch hunt against him. He has been targeted several times with very weak evidence in the past. This must come to an end.

Given that this is the kind of thing that would have required at least two to five pages of legal analysis on whether defendants met whatever "heavy burden" the were required to prove to warrant such "extraordinary relief" in the Before Times, that's a conspicuously terse order. Little bit stunning.

I know all the MSM will say this does not go hand in hand, but I find it odd that the events were so close together. January 14, 2026, discussed Sasch Riley. January 18, 2026, Charged for reporting on protest in Minnesota (a church was involved) January 30, 2026 Arrested in Los Angeles, CA

Peaceful protest is a form of free speech, and this administration should not be allowed to violate the constitution. They think that they don’t have to abide by the laws of this country and it needs to end.

I hope that the bogus charges against Don Lemon and the rest of the protesters will be dismissed by this judge. There is more than enough evidence that the DOJ has fabricated evidence and interfered with grand jurors in order to get what they want.

This is re: magistrate judge's orders refusing to disclose grand jury materials? Before Trump: 1) grand jury proceedings were secret 2) district judges didn't disturb a magistrate judge's ruling unless it "smells like a three day old dead fish" We have entered a new era in federal litigation

This case should be thrown out and the DOJ lawyers sanctioned. This wouldn't be the first time the DOJ has been alleged to have tampered with the grand jury.

I really wish that there were consequences for all the nonsense this doj has done. They don't seem to get humiliated or held to any sort of standard anymore.

What, any chance the dictator criminal syndicate is doing something illegal? That is all they do considering they have the congress and the supreme corruption (scotus) in their pocket. Grounds for dismissal? Of course...

This may not be the only grand jury to be presented with false evidence. The DOJ is also accused of having private conversations with jurors and illegally removing jurors that disagreed with them.

I don't know . . . Trump's DOJ runs a pretty tight ship. Do you think prosecutor misconduct is even a possibility for such sterling examples of competence, integrity, and professionalism?
