These guys deserve whatever they get. However, this will keep happening across the country until we abolish corrupt fraternity systems, legacy admissions and hazing rituals. It's how the #Epstein class teaches unquestioned loyalty to power.

We await an end to rape fraternities. Worst of the worst are not among immigrant communities but our best universities and national politicians. Thank you Cornell students for pressing rapists getting justice!!

Yes, Sally Yates hasn't been in the public eye much in the last few years, but she's certainly welcome. She and James will accomplish a lot.

My gawd, they need to. Any system that sees that - even just what little we've seen - and says "write me an essay why this was bad" needs to be severely dealt with. If I were an alumni I certainly wouldn't be writing any checks. That frat has to go.

I have a friend who has your job at a local college and just sending out a holiday message w/ a typo got someone demoted, so I can't imagine what messaging you'd send after something like this! "Hey, look - we harbor rapists. But we still need cash and that's where you come in."

Sally Yates isn't investigating the crime. She's investigating how Cornell investigated it. And I don't give a shit what anyone thinks about how this will come out. Especially not men. What I care about as a fellow survivor is that it's investigated properly. It wasn't. And these women will fix that

People really need to stop moaning about Garland. He started the Investigations Unit the day he got into office, apparently nobody noticed because it wasn't called THE TREASON INVESTIGATION OF DONALD J TRUMP. He wasn't just sitting around twiddling his thumbs before he appointed Jack Smith.

"A newly formed Special Committee of the Cornell University Board of Trustees announced today that it has retained former U.S. Deputy Attorney General Sally Q. Yates, a partner at law firm King & Spalding LLP, to lead a comprehensive independent review of how the University prevents and responds to"

Is this not a bait and trap situation? Allow James and Yates to preside over this case, and then when the verdict arrives "clearly against the 7 rapists" their lawyers claim it's a mistrial as James and Yates are compromised because of previous comments and actions?.

Let us hope that the 7 rapists & ALL the members of the chat who did nothing to stop them never have another moment's peace, nor a job with a living wage; that they serve lengthy sentences & are required by law to register as sex offenders for the rest of their lives, restricting where they can go.

Because the Epstein rapists have been getting away with their crimes while flagrantly celebrating their impunity. They also openly display their disdain for women. The pairing of these two is a double-whammy; keeping SA in the news before election & holding accountability those who ignore SA.

I'm a mandated reporter without the position of responsibility & trust as the Cornell admin. I could face serious repercussions if I knew of assault & did not report it to the proper authorities. Why the hell are people responsible for thousands of students not held to a higher standard of care? 🤬

Let's go! Next replace hegseth with one of the discharged ladies. You know the kind that monitors her own hormones with her own doc and it's nobody's beeswax.

Agree. I find it puzzling that these smart guys believe they can somehow survive their gigantic leadership failure. It’s better for them to resign now, voluntarily, than be forced to resign amid national outrage later on. They all need to go. The sooner, the better for Cornell.

While it's long overdue, it's a relief and a half to finally see the tides turning against rapists and the institutions that protect them. Both should be living with utter ridicule and fear, may justice serve it so.

WADR this isn't voluntary on their own part as your post seems to intimate. They hired their OWN law firm to "investigate" which could and should be read as "impinge, deflect, and defend" their abhorrent handling of this... Just sayin'

This is one of those it's about time things .... Cornell has decades of enabling these little human shreds who assault each other and women in the name of their fraternal orders. They're emulating their Fathers who were all frat rats. BAN FRATERNITIES. It's always them. Every time.
