Thank everything holy their are competent people who understand the importance of their work!

The should probably move overseas

That is great to know. I hope you have really secure back-ups!

Love the Archive!!

This is why President Musk and his talking puppet, Putin's Lapdog are attacking you. PLEASE keep up the fantastic work. I'll donate whatever I can to help. At 73 and on Social Security, it won't be much, and I am heartily sorry for that.

STOP FASCISM! We have very little time left, USE YOUR TIME WISELY! Support Dems: Valimont in FL-1; Josh Weil in FL-6; Blake Gendebien in NY-21; Crawford for WI Supreme Court in the upcoming Special Elections. DONATE www.actblue.com/directory? & State Legislatures at dlcc.org & DOSOMETHING.org

And please back it up in Europe, because you never know...

A serious effort needs to be made to protect these records in a safe place, away from this country. The regime in control of the US will not want this information to exist.

I love IA, it was invaluable in my genealogy search. There’s books not even available on ancestry. Old historical societies publications, pre-Revolution era meeting books. Colonial era admin books and tax/road orders/court records. Old movies too!

This Administration has gone from revisionist history to erasing history.

Over 600 people have signed this petition to revoke Elon Musk's American citizenship. This goes through the court system, which is all we have left right now. This is the 1st step, the 2nd will be calling for his arrest and deportation. Please add your name, Americans, and share! chng.it/RXKRLVxX6x

I hope they have multiple off site backups

Why has one person been able to do this? Just doesn’t make any sense.😡

Our 'government' wants to erase it! The National Archives is an independent federal agency.

How is it not illegal af?

The depth of dishonor of the current POTUS, VP and minions has no bottom. A stain on their honor, their families, their party, their communities and our nation. What does it say about us that we elected a convicted felon with a lifetime record of dishonor, bankruptcies and failed relationships. sad!

Oh thank God someone is keeping all the data we would otherwise loose .

Why not turn the servers off and wait it out?

Oh man, shhhh maybe don’t broadcast this!

Just keep this protected

Go!!!

When one door is closed, the other is open, isn't it?

👏👏👏👏👏

Well Done. Hope they also have hard Drives filled off-line too.

It seems dangerous to publicize the location.

How’s his erasure going?

Move it out of USA.

They're currently erasing history from America. Hopefully this will be the last pathetic presidential administration in Americans future.

Thank you, Internet Archive!

Love the internet archive! Maybe this exists already, but i would love if papers and reports published online linked to an internet archive snapshot of their sources instead of (or in addition to) the actual url, which inevitably breaks in 3 years.

Thanks for drawing attention to it's physical location.... idiots.

Some of the largest academic universities no longer have this as part of their mission. It’s time for all Americans to contact library directors and deans. Tell them preserving our current and past information is a must for a Free America.

They do fantastic work preserving immeasurable amounts of history.

I understand people's concerns about publicizing the location, but it's already public (it's on Google maps!), and the story might help them get more financial and moral support. And yes, time to decentralize the data, if they haven't already!

Could you report this and what actual stuff beyond that are you doing

Thank goodness someone is keeping track of everything the are erasing

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. WTF.

This administration should be jailed ! You can’t just walk in & delete history, science, education & environmental stuff . It’s absolutely disgusting, immoral & it’s gotta be illegal?!

Appropriate venue as they are doing the lord’s work.

The internet archive is invaluable.

Don't tell him!

I would trust his administration to pick up dog shit in my backyard.

Let’s fund the fuck out of it! That and Wikipedia needs our support. They’re islands in the oligarch owned sludge.

Only tramps and thieves fear history.

What the hell is the purpose of deleting all this info?

I have donated. Bless these people. I hope they have whatever backups, servers, and protection they need, with locations outside of U.S. jurisdiction.

My Websites average 2,317 visitors/month. Professional (josfland.com) 1,030; free Website of study guides, (studygns.net -39 languages) 1202; flora inventory (aginggardens.com) 85. Traffic has dropped to 2-3 visitors per day. I added the Ukrainian flag to each home page. Oligarchs didn’t like it.

What are the odds that the federal government tries to shut this down as soon as they can?

This building is a few blocks from where I used to live in SF. So unassuming and yet so vital. And personally the Wayback Machine has helped me so much.

I hope they have copies stored offline in other parts of the world, in case Der Trumppenfuhrer decides to send in his brown shirts to storm the place....

So many links I needed to research studies at CDC are just gone.

Yes but I'm here wanting to scrub my Twitter profile in the hope of still being able to visit US family!

You mean their modern day book burnings, yes.

Hire a private army to protect these people and these cause. And start duplicating their work franchise the archive to protect vital information.
