Here, have some stickers for your protest signs. They make great car magnets, and you can use them to cover and ICE propaganda you find. All free. Just like our democracy should be.

Justice Sotomayor dissenting on birthright citizenship case: "The gamesmanship in this request is apparent and the Government makes no attempt to hide it. Yet, shamefully, this Court plays along. Because I will not be complicit in so grave an attack on our system of law, I dissent."

Mark and Melissa lie peacefully at the center of our state and our hearts today. Their memorial, guarded by service dogs and men and women in uniform, casts a momentary shadow over L'Étoile du Nord as we honor their life’s work to make Minnesota shine brighter for all.

Hegseth deployed troops to Southern California without funding for food, water, fuel, or equipment. Marines are trained for military combat – not law enforcement. Trump must rescind his orders, Hegseth must resign, & law enforcement should be handled by state/local authorities.

“I would like to cure brain cancer,” Dr. Tanner said. “I think that's not particularly controversial.” Neither do we. But the N.I.H.—the world’s leading public funder of medical research—has canceled 1,389 grants and delayed over 1,000 more. The true cost won’t be known for decades. 🧵

Let’s clear something up: SNAP stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — the LARGEST federal program to fight hunger in the country! It blows my mind that the party that touts its “Christian values” is the same party that is SET on taking food from the hungry.

You use federal science every day—whether you know it or not. Weather forecasts, food safety alerts, job reports—these are powered by federal data. NPR just did a great piece on how deeply this science shapes our daily lives.

Most Americans frequently use federal science information. But few are concerned that cuts to federal science spending could affect their access to such information, a new poll finds.

The state of Utah voted to ban pride flags so Salt Lake City Council decided to make official city flags that incorporate the progress pride, Juneteenth, and transgender flags so they can fly them without breaking state law

If approved, SLC would have 4 flag designs. It's current, as well as one tied to Progress Pride, Juneteenth and Transgender designs as seen here #utpol:

This is a general thought, not a subtweet, but I increasingly feel like there's a lot of unintentional revisionism about US public opinion during the pandemic. Views obviously shifted, but early on there was *remarkably* broad support for a wide range of mitigation tactics

Now that Maine has banned child marriage (woohoo!) MARYLAND!! remains as the last state in the northeast to allow child marriages. Our children deserve better. When will MD ban child marriage?

Missouri Rep. Keri Ingle just obliterated House Majority Whip Hardy Billington, who, at 72, is still out here defending child marriage. Disgusting. She said what needed to be said, and she didn’t hold back. Protecting kids shouldn’t be a partisan issue, but apparently some grown men in power think
