My god they have some chutzpah. Do they think 5th graders aren't READING BOOKS, the natural habitat of em dashes and punctuation?

They're _supposed to be reading books_ and learning about punctuation it's the whole point of being an Nth grader

How exactly, in your mind, is a 5th grader supposed to use an em dash. Do you think they know the alt code? Do you?
