How are shutdowns still a thing we do? It’s so asinine. No budget passed? Spending should continue at current levels. That’s how less ridiculous national governments handle it.

A list of trump's accomplishments Record government shutdowns 400,000 Covid deaths Unemployment ⬆️ Inflation ⬆️ ICE attacks on innocent people ♾️ Failed in Russia/Ukraine Deal Added $3T of national debt in 9 months Failed as a human Failed in private ventures Failed 2x president I'm tired of winning.

So there is a real possibility that as President, Trump has caused the most damage to the American citizens in the entire history of the United States 😵‍💫🤯 All the wars happened overseas, so American citizens didn't physically suffer from them. He's America's worst leader. Fact.

Yeah he is the greatest shutdowner anyone has ever seen! Thank you for your attention on this (dark) matter. (He is also the greatest deal maker of all times who can't seem to figure out how to make it out of his self-inflicted rabbit hole. Exactly my kind of humour.)

Didn’t Trump say, “In my opinion … I actually think the President would be blamed. … If there is a shutdown I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He’s the one who has to get people together.”

If people who work for the government can’t strike, or even refuse to work when they’re not paid, then shutting down the government should be illegal as well. How does it make even any sense that an entire country like the US would refuse to pay their bills?

The Shutdown is a political ploy by the Trump administration to force Democrats and independents to acquiesce to his demands. No conscience about the sick elderly or the hungry children. Trump eats fine dining at Mar a Lardo during his Party. So as President he don’t CARE AT YOU OR ME (MAGA).

We all keep talking about Rep. Grijalva being the 218th signature on the Epstein petition and the reason that the House has been on vacation for weeks. But here's a thought, why not find one (just one) other GOP Rep to sign the damn petition. That way they can screw Mike Johnson.

Something here is very wrong. How did you even get these laws that produce these shutdowns? You know, these aren't a given, as far as I know, the US is the only country in the world where these shutdowns are even possible.

What we learned was, Trump is a cruel and despicable low life who should have NEVER been elected as the most powerful leader on the face of the earth. And the irony is we did it two times!!

This is a feature not a bug. The more the government is shut down, the more trump and his cronies can steal from the taxpayers with no one noticing. His goal is to never have the government open again. And at this rate, republicans are delivering this to him.

Remind me how it us that the U.S. is the only nation (I think) that puts itself through this? Fifty years of it now? And expensive, too, every time.
