The phrase “according to prediction markets” is functionally equivalent to “according to ChatGPT” which is functionally equivalent to “according to the vibe out there on the streets.”

Ah I see. Well journalism has lost a few steps in the last decade or so, hasn’t it? According to prediction markets t’s only going to get worse. ftfy (dept of missed opportunities)

The stupid thing is there's a reasonable and potentially interesting article here about the uses and misuses of prediction markets and their effect on the body idiotic.

Thank you! MSM's constant efforts to legitimize prediction platforms is a blatant attempt to fool American voters into believing these tools are accurate when in fact prediction markets sole purpose is to manipulate voters.

I hate when the media considers the choices of prediction markets as newsworthy when they ignore the tried and true method of the casting of chicken bones for information.

I think you are mistaken here. The prediction markets have been pretty accurate in predicting political races. I think they are more analogous to the “wisdom of the masses” concept rather than AI.

There has been recent polling suggesting that Paxton has, shall we say, the wind at his back in the runoff. There has been, AFAIK, no polling indicating that he has widened his lead (in polling) over Cornyn since Trump's endorsement.
