This feels closer to a normie elevator pitch but I think it still needs workshopping - re apps: that doesn’t seem to different from web. - not does personal websites one As a dev I understand the points there, but from other pov I don’t see value. Getting close to a “why should I care” tho

Exactly right. This is just a way to convince users this is different from twitter, which has had an api since 2006 which didn’t help users or devs when they sold out. apievangelist.com/2011/01/26/h...
