Some toothpastes still have plastic or silicone beads to "help scrub plaque" off your teeth. It's supposed to be banned but renaming something can aid in making loopholes & gray areas in laws. You're ingesting plastic every time you brush your teeth & the plastic removes the enamel at the same time

I am confident that future generations of microbes will evolve to thrive on humanity's detritus, forever chemicals, nano plastics, etc. Go Team Microbe!

Our current system of governance does not incentivize large corporations to act in good faith towards the public at large. As difficult as this may seem to do it truly is simple. If these corporations personhood and agency are on the line, their behavior will change.

When we look at disease rates and mental health problems, we have killed millions with our profit-first policies in the US. The US is one of the most polluted countries on earth.

Until we hold the CEO's personally accountable such things will continue to happen. Until we decide that profits are not more important than people and planet, such things will continue to happen.

3M should not exist today because the fines for the irreparable harm done to all of us should have been so crippling they could not remain in businesses. People want to point to vaccines as the cause of a lot of issues but this is more likely the cause and it has been largely ignored …

After successfully suing DuPont, Robert Bilott and others filed suit against multiple PFAS manufacturers on behalf of everyone in the U.S. with PFAS in their blood (which is pretty much everyone), but the court dismissed it.

The really hard part is that she was young and it was her first job. You trust your bosses then, you are not wise to the evils of big corporations nor do you have the experience to push back when you know you are right bit being gas light. Had it happen to me in a coal environment testing lab.

In town the DDT misting truck would drive our streets at the school bus stops & spray so mosquitoes wouldn’t bite us. On the farm we’d hang a Seven-dust bag so cows walking out would be dusted. I’d stand under the bag & hit it with a stick to dust myself to keep off the biting flies.

Folks i worked at a 3M plant for nearly 20 years.My blood has been monitored for the past 15 and while i do show the forever chemical i have had no issues at all.All of us have all types of chemicals in us. It’s part of progression.At least 3M has been upfront and honest about it and quit making it
