Happy Father's Day!

My Daughter's are my reason for being. Best decision I ever made

Very much this. It's the greatest joy of parenting, to watch your kids grow up to become themselves. I feel sad for parents who can't let go of their idea of what their child should be and rejoice in what they are (and frequently infuriated for the kids).

Just read this to my husband who is working from home today. After twisting his ankle yesterday playing football (8yr old rules) on the trampoline with our boy. Doting dads rock.

It’s pretty good.

I love my son we have a unique relationship that rocks, but being a girl dad is the absolute best. She fecking kicks ass all day and all night (and drives me crazy at the same time)

my wife asked me what my favorite part of being a dad is and my answer was literally just seeing him smile. I’ve never been happier about anything in my life

This will persist for the foreseeable future, I’m afraid. You’re already doing it right! Wanting to do your best is already head and shoulders above more than you’d hope.
