handy.computerHandyHandy is a cross platform, open-source, speech-to-text application for your computer
I've been using open-wispr.com on my work MacBook, which is quite similar. Downside is that it's only for Mac (Swift Native)
open-wispr.comopen-wispr — Free Voice Dictation for macOS (100% Local)The best free speech-to-text for Mac. Hold a key, speak, release — text appears instantly. Whisper AI, 100% on-device. No cloud, no subscription.
Well, the RPM version breaks on my Fedora 44 (a missing dependency it seems) and the AppImage version doesn't capture my keyboard shortcut sometimes, nor does it paste the transcription automatically on the window I'm in. Probably due to some missing configuration or lack of testing
