sounds to me like Elon Musk is an openly declared enemy of the Ukrainian state!

Both sides seem to be trying to spin the same event to their benefit. Reality: Musk: proposes slowing Starlink Trump admin: agrees and tells him to do it. Musk gets to say "We were ordered to do it." The Trump admin gets to say "This was an idea that came from SpaceX, not us."

really Elon has outdone himself this time. many America troops are embedded with Ukrainian forces. and the principal beneficiary of Elon's action, Russia, is currently funding and supplying Iran, America's (alas) adversary in an ongoing shooting war

it is also just so Classic Elon to get really fuckin wound up over some bullshit he saw on social media, do something criminally insane in response, and then lie that he had nothing to do with it when people criticize him

every Republican candidate in a tight race should publicly send the checks back to Musk. I bet it would be pretty popular. (and if not, the Dem candidates should emphasize where the money is coming from)

If this had happened at any other moment in American history SpaceX would have already been nationalized and all of Elon's assets frozen or seized. Nobody would be playing word games, we would all recognize this as treason.

I'm tempted to email around the liberal and left think tanks to ask them, 'Uh y'all have plans for dealing with this monster?' Genuinely the most dangerous person alive.
