I realize there's a House bill to specifically hold ICE folks accountable, but the most straighforward answer is to amend Section 1982 to add the words "or federal" after the word "state".

Immigrants working is an administrative matter. Between DHS and . . . EMPLOYERS. NOT employees. Immigrants don’t hire themselves. Immigrants don’t take jobs, employers give them jobs. But we don’t see employers face down on the pavement with a knee in their backs. They’re likely Republicans.

No one should be tackled, injured, or denied their dignity, especially a student with a disability. ICE must be held accountable, and every American deserves protection of their rights, not fear of the very agencies funded by their tax dollars.
