I wish this was something you could mod into Steam itself... would save having to scroll down to check. -3- Or having Steam add the ability to hide games using AI but... I doubt they'll do that. Love the extension though. ❤️

You can. It's Chromium. Just right-click on any link in the Store, open in new window, paste the plugin URL in, and click install. It'll ask you to save the CRX file somewhere. You have to save it somewhere temporarily, but you can discard it later, because once it downloads, it'll install.

The new filter is currently only active on search pages, but I intend to eventually add it to other places as well. Because I don't have a process to pre-generate a full list of games with an AI disclosure yet, data is currently fetched live, but I tested it on a slow connection and it worked fine.

The userscript and Firefox versions are available already, the Chrome version is still awaiting approval, but should be available soon. This update requires additional permissions, so you might need to re-approve it. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I think you'll find it's worth it.

damn, misunderstood this as a feature for the Steam app itself, but not for in-browser. but not its not a thing without loopholes and workarounds. oh well, i dont buy a whole lot of games, but do i fully read down pages if im interested enough in a game so i'll see the disclosure anyways.

I would LOVE that, but for now I'm just happy they at least inform us about AI. The only other store that does is itch.io, while literally everywhere else it's just completely unregulated as far as I know.

I'd like to concentrate on marking games that use generative AI and not add unrelated functionality, because I have limited capacity to make improvements, but my code is open-source and I'm happy to answer questions, if someone else wants to make a tool for that.

I've submitted it for approval a few hours ago, but sometimes it can take a while, especially since this is a relatively big update compared to previous ones.

In case you don't want to wait, the userscript version works in Chrome as well, if you have a userscript manager.
