I stand against this devilment. This is an infernal marriage of the state to religion. Either one can poison the other. This is damned secularly and damned religiously, and anyone pushing this works for Satan (derogatory). Independence of each is a must.

If Bible passages are required reading, they should be evaluated for historical accuracy. Further, if a school chooses to post the Ten Commandments in classrooms, the following essay should be required: "Compare and contrast the Ten Commandments with the words and deeds of Donald Trump".

I took a class in high school that combined english and history where we read and analyzed passages from a bunch of religious texts, including the Bible, Quran, Torah, Vedas, and some Buddhist sutras iirc. I thought it was great and would recommend it. ONLY teaching the Bible is suspicious.

As long as passages and recitations from The Book of the Church of the Subgenius and the Pastafarian Catechism are also required reading, sounds peachy.

Here's one: ...if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached...such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ...for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light...Their end will be what their actions deserve. 2 Corinthians 11

NO. Separation of church and state is supposed to be law. It is a premise of the founding. This is another heinous and egregious overreach by the state of Utah. If parents want to brainwash young children with the bible they can pay to send them to religious school.

The Mormons can shove this legislation right up their collective rear ends. This is why all of my kids have gone to private schools. The Freedom of Religion also has in the Constitution the Right to be Free from Religion, in particular, this kind of forced brain washing.
