The morning of Oct. 21st, 2026, Dr Frederik Schalts-Buchholzer announced on LinkedIn their unethical Heb B study in Guinea-Bissau was officially cancelled. Stand Up for Science declares a major victory in our fight to stop RFK Jr from his plot to harm the children of Guinea-Bissau.

Our efforts to stop this study opened the way for vaccines to reach these children a year earlier than planned. We will continue to support efforts to see every newborn in Guinea-Bissau vaccinated at birth against Hep B, as soon as possible.

Our International branch will continue to be a watchdog monitoring and stopping the use of pseudoscientific exploitation of vulnerable populations around the world. We will continue to work with Congress to investigate the US’s involvement in this situation.

So maybe the momentum from this can be used to remedy the larger tragedy: newborns in Guinea-Bissau do not currently receive HepB vax at birth, despite a HepB infection rate of 5% in the Guinea-Bissau population. The cost to correct this would be trivial.

We will continue to support efforts to see every newborn in Guinea-Bissau vaccinated at birth against Hep-B, as soon as possible. Further, Stand Up for Science International, our Switzerland-based NGO, will continue its role as a watchdog.

And this memorial at The National Library of Medicine, on the NIH campus, seeks to commemorate and be a warning about the Tuskegee “experiment “. Put there by their descendants. History is rhyming, in sad refrains. Come by and visit RFK jr. Learn from history.

This was stopped because the experiment was open to scrutiny as a result of being conducted in a country in Africa; god alone knows what insane experiments are being conducted on people confined to #Trump ‘s ICE concentration camps.

RFK's #1 job is to make the #1 killer of kids, the GUNS, the #2 killer of kids. so conservatives can say, guns are not the #1 killer of kids.

The part about Herd Immunity they don’t mention is large numbers of the herd die. And children aren’t born with Herd Immunity so they die in high numbers unnecessarily. Just look at graveyards from the first half of the 20th for yourself and count the number of tiny headstones.
