New data: Good news! Sales at Pike Place Market are up $7.5 million so far this year compared to the same time period in 2025 (Jan-Sep). Keep visiting and supporting market businesses, and tell them you support restricting unnecessary car traffic on Pike Place.

It’s also funny that right-wing deviants think that we’re scared of the Muslim Brotherhood, when our own government employs tens of thousands of secret police that roam the streets with impunity kidnapping our friends neighbors and coworkers

All to prohibit 10 kids (that's the number) from playing sports with their friends? Alas, no. It's so every kid has to have someone check their genitals before they play sports with their friends. Your daughter, grand-daughter, sister.

David Roberts@volts.wtf

On my long list of things to feel heartsick about: there is a genital-check initiative on the ballot in WA this cycle, intended (as they all are) to make a marginalized minority's life even more difficult, and polling shows that it is likely to pass.

Notably Eileen Pollet is also a consultant for independent expenditures promoting Jamie Pedersen against Hannah Sabio-Howell. This behavior is so petty but also shows that all the money in the world can't buy you trust from progressive voters.

More explicitly a relative of Rep. Pollet, Eileen, who owns a consulting firm that a lot of Dems have used, bought leftycheatsheet dot com and is redirecting it to the FUSE guide as an attempt to confuse people trying to find leftycheatsheet.org

Dodgers tanking to do their part to avoid an inevitable salary cap being established is just incredibly selfless. Kudos to Shohei and the gang for keeping their eye on the correct ball. Players seem to have decided that a Milwaukee / Tampa or Cleveland World Series gives them the most leverage

1. I think the president of the United States really believes "there's never been anybody" who deserves the Nobel Peace Prize more than he does. He really believes he "settled eight wars." He really believes he stopped "the total obliteration of the world" by going to war with Iran.

It's deeply rewarding when reviewers see your work for what it is and react to it as that. This review of Oathbreakers from me and @profgabriele.com is just such a piece of writing, and I'm grateful. www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/...

Okie! I like to start with something we've pretty much all experienced. Imagine a TV show that's really popular but you just don't find it compelling. It's not that you hate the show. It's just not your cup of tea. Maybe you even watched it and were just whelmed. But everyone else is obsessed!
