Has this person ever been to one of the thousands of gastropubs around England? Enough bangers and pies and ham and roast and sticky toffee pud to drown you. I love English food, I love all food, how is this even an issue? Why are people such nobs and why does the Guardian love it?

Liars in Trump's executive: a typology Trump: Go big or go home. Vance: Ethics-free MBA bro with a line in reassurance and slipperiness, peppered with sincere chuckles. RFK Jr.: Just - just - not drinking his own Kool-Aid, and having a wild ride in the meantime.

If you want to make this a thread, please reply to my first post. I know I've taken the low-hanging fruit. Stephen Miller is an obvious next liar on the list.

"In the occupied West Bank, more than 500,000 Israeli settlers can vote. They live among 3.1 million Palestinians who are subject to military rule and do not have the right to vote." People call this state a democracy.

I mentioned playing a C90 to a young person ca. 2002, and he said, "How quaint." Of course the joke's on him, because he listened to minidiscs.

Another inadequate thing is the women’s uniforms. Men wear practical uniforms; women are usually forced to be half naked.

Mallory Moore@sexabolition.blog

The real unfair competition women are being forced into with men is having women's sports constantly separated off as a distinct event which is made to compete commercially with much better funded and socially and institutionally enfranchised men's sporting events & found inadequate by that standard

Time for J D Vance to go on a charm offensive to bolster Trump's efforts.

Going to Europe as an Australian was a genuine headfuck. Like, in Australia, you want to be careful where you sit on a patch of grass in case of green ants or prickles or whatever. Hanging out in Berlin, I was just like ‘oh this is why everyone thinks Australia’s so deadly’.

Incredible how folks like Yglesias manage to be so respected while consistently wrong about just about everything. (See also: Ezra Klein, Simon Jenkins.)

I just think Matt's wrong about this. We're at a point in our technological development where a ton of problems spill over national borders--if Flavio Bolsonaro burns down the Amazon, that will flood houses in Miami.

Videogames is the creative field where creatives are least recognised, most of the time their names are hidden away on the finished product. This is obviously deliberate on the industry's part but the audience enables it when they fail to care about the people who make this stuff.

sorry i need to publicly be a hater for a second but what do you mean the giant 230k+ signature save mass effect petition is only about the IP and not the devs that were laid off

Unlike the supposed disinterested universality of the liberal subject, the slop master's empty subjectivity is a vector of private interest, where 'private differences' don't matter so long as they don't create friction in the accumulation of property & personhood-as-property
