I’m eating a salad because I’m not in the U.S. and I can do that safely. 🤭

So many butthurt Americans because I posted this. I was excited to finally eat a salad after many weeks of avoiding them in the U.S. 💀💀💀 At least y’all aren’t butthurt from eating salad. 💩

I saw grape tomatoes for $1.88 & was thrilled to see their product of Mexico An entire wall of Taylor Farms bagged salads was on sale & not touched while all the Canadian/Mexican leaf lettuce & salad was nearly sold out Im angry my grocery store was selling TF w/o advertising it’s *that* lettuce

I do most of my shopping at local farmers markets this time of year thank God. Planning to revive my canning skills this summer to survive the winter season. I'm a salad junkie and I'm avoiding all produce from the corporate grocery stores. Shop local.

Every time I eat salad(so,daily in the summer) I think how fortunate I am NOT to be in America & never have to go there,'cos it has become a 3rd world country!A hell hole run by pedophiles & criminals;lawless, disease riddled & degenerate🤮.A banana republic.Trump's accomplished much since 2016🤬

“Safety guidelines” for lettuce would consist of not eating anything from Taylor Farms… A person should try and eat only locally grown lettuce because to effectively kill Cyclospora you need to cook the lettuce. And who the heck cooks lettuce? 1/2

And it’s not just lettuce to be avoided, as outbreaks have repeatedly been linked to fresh items eaten raw, including basil, cilantro, lettuce, salad kits, berries, snow peas, and green onions.

I actually forgot and had one the other day. Still here, but I kinda feel like that was just...risky behavior 🤦🏾‍♀️ we've fallen so far, but I feel like we're not even at rock bottom yet

Right? My husb is a daily salad eater. While shopping I said as he put the bag lettuce in the cart, if you get explosive diarrhea, you're on your own. He bought it and so far he's ok. Yesterday he asked me, what about cabbage? LOL He looked it up & it's safe. I'm sticking w pizza & cookies.

I was born in the US, grew up, graduated from college, then left and moved to Canada on my own as a young adult. Best decision I ever made! Got a visitor visa, stayed with friends for a while, got a SSN, job, and then applied for permanent status. Eventually got my citizenship, so I'm dual now.

I can’t believe I’m typing this but one of the fastest growing trends is people taking classes on how to stop/intervene in mass shootings.

So jealous. Haven't had a salad since 7/11 now. Man I miss it! After we ate our salads we monitored our "output" very closely, just to make sure for weeks. We don't have insurance, so we can't risk it.

I envy you. I ate a salad too today..as I was washing my prewashed , organic Spring mix and I looked at the various leaves, I was hoping there wasn't any poison hiding in those lovely Greens...Do we really need more stress here!!!!

You are so wrong because I have been craving salads for a while. The last salad I had was in June and it was from Taylor salads. Now I don’t buy them anymore because I don’t trust the produce anymore.

Some enterprising wit could build a whole tourism spiel, targeted at usa ppl, around salad delights in countries vigilant in food safety

I ate one yesterday. Ceaser, from an actual large head of Romaine. Now I feel I should make a T-shitrt with, "I SURVIVED A SALAD" emblazened on it and start a support group. That's how American I am.

I’m loving Canadian grown salad greens. Taylor Farms products are all over 🇨🇦Canada’s stores… I stopped buying anything U.S.A in 2024 but I’ll be asking restaurants to omit lettuce/green onion/snap peas/fresh berries in my orders now as we can’t trust they aren’t using U.S. produce in their meals.🫩

I know the risk is there but slim, which is what I would be, if I did choose to partake, with my luck.. so not going back.. just yet.. 🫤 U.S. resident..! #Jealous

Ummm…Symptoms of cyclosporiasis usually appear about one week after exposure, but they can start as soon as 2 days or as late as 2 weeks after ingesting the parasite. You may not be out of the woods quite yet, though I sincerely hope nobody contracts that horrific infection.

Cyclospora outbreaks have repeatedly been linked to fresh items eaten raw, including basil, cilantro, lettuce, salad kits, berries, snow peas, and green onions. And now jalapeño peppers as well. It’s not worth the risk. Just try to buy locally grown/farmer’s market, home-grown (or Canadian grown😉🇨🇦)

Did you know? In Kilivaria its a traditional custom to eat salad, becuase nobody can afford anything else. For more Kilivaria facts follow official Kilivaria bluesky

I just replanted some more lettuce. Mine went to seed when I was on vacation. I recommend getting a fabric pot and plant a mix. It grows very quickly

I feel like everyone is way too calm about the stuff trump does. If MAGAs couldn’t eat French fries under a Democratic president there would be pitchforks and torches.

Taylor Farms, which has a near monopoly on lettuce of all varieties in the U.S., constantly has food safety violations. This isn’t the first problem with them, just the most prominent.

Yu, and they sell lettuce in Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Response teams can track and stop an outbreak but people outside the US can get sick from Taylor Farms lettuce before those teams get to work.

My guy, we're not butthurt over your post. We're butthurt because we're currently being occupied by a narcissistic dipshit wreaking havoc on the whole f@cking world, not just leafy greens. Happy for you - enjoy your poop free lettuce.
