While the rest of the world, especially China, continues to invest in the modernization of their electrical grids with clean, renewable energy technologies, our dipshit dumbass and his moronic cult are taking us back a century to near complete dependence on coal and fossil fuels.

One of the central achievements of the Affordable Care Act was to *raise* the Medicaid eligibility threshold to 133% of the federal poverty level—because everyone understood that there are plenty of folks who couldn't otherwise afford health care even though they're just over that (arbitrary) line.

the pivot from “we’re not cutting medicaid” to “come on look at these lazy bastards” sure was speedy

Millionaires and billionaires would be perfectly FINE not getting salary for 33 days, or even 333 days. The average American, folks like you and me working paycheck to paycheck, would not. Do NOT let billionaires make decisions for US. PASS IT ON.

I keep reading that this is a place for kinder people, but gentle souls have always been among us. We just couldn’t hear them anymore. Perhaps our gathering here is proof that we missed those voices. What a wonderful thing to believe about ourselves. It can be a bold move to choose kindness.

When they talk about privatizing Veterans’ care and Medicare, they mean allowing companies to provide healthcare for a profit. But how do companies make those profits? By *denying* care to many who need it. Don’t get fooled by the “privatization” label. It means “for profit” and YOU are the cost.

Donald Trump’s multi-pronged coup attempt: 1. Spreading Election Fraud Claims 2. Legal and Legislative Pressure 3. Plans to Subvert Electoral College Certification 4. Incitement of Violence 5. Targeting VP Pence. Each were part of a broader effort to subvert democratic process. RT to remember

Many people think that as you get older, you care less about politics. But it’s not true. You start thinking a lot more about the kind of world you want to leave behind. You want it to be better than the one you were born into. We all have a personal legacy in mind. Mine is to outlive Trumpism.

Trump is now demanding Senate permit him to use recess appointments to get his extreme appointees through. Senate needs to do its job to provide advice and consent to protect our system of checks and balances.
