Good read but I disagree that SCOTUS has any type of deference afforded to it. With the exception of the democratic leaning judges this Court doesn't deserve respect.

The lower courts are in fact "the bulwark" these days.

A great big Mahalo to them! To suggest that every person, state, or institution should not roundly blast Roberts and his toadies for their abuse of power is asinine. Their anticonstitutional rulings themselves warrant "such an impassioned condemnation."

Kind of ironic that the strongest stand taken by any judicial body on behalf of American democracy, comes from the state that most wants to exit American statehood altogether.

I hope others follow suit …
