Me: “I’d like HRT (not Testosterone, but same principle) to have ownership of my body, to be the person I want to be, to just be happy.” The media: “Wow you sick pervert.” Cis people: “I want HRT so I can cum like a goddamn belt-fed machinegun!” The media: “Hell yeah!”

And like, I’m not against Cis people getting access to it, for ANY reason, but the hypocrisy is exhausting, cis people can be diabolically horny and its just treated as normal (as it should tbh), but trans people, even asexual trans people, are deemed perverse just by virtue of existing.

Testosterone is what's holding both my mental health and my joints together, but because some cis people can't mind their business, I can now be excluded from both the men's and the women's facilities, making me essentially unemployable. Care to write a sympathetic article about that, Guardian?

So it's fine when cis people use HRT for precocious puberty, menopause and when they have impotency but when trans people need HRT for life saving reasons to be themselves they are called disgusting perverts, am I getting this right?

It’s 2038. Every woman is taking testosterone for better orgasms, every man is taking oestrogen to improve their cardiovascular health, fat jabs are mandatory. A law has just been passed banning trans people from smiling in case it locks them in to being trans, in line with the second Cass Review.

How lovely for her. Where are the Guardian's usual concerns for women being given these 'dangerous cross-sex' hormones, tampering with the 'biological reality' of menopause, how much this is costing the NHS? Where are the statements from Streeting, FWS and Rowling? Could it just be - hypocrisy?

I'm happy she gets care and has found a solution. It's fine if people need care, and sexualiry isn't evil. That being said, uneven coverage for cis people and trans people when it comes to hormones sucks, and feels like a rage bait. We're not a fun news genetator, we're people. 🏳️‍⚧️

👓: Oh, so when THEY do it for compensating for their sexual inadequacy, it's fine, but when a trans person uses it so they can feel comfortable in their own body, it's a sacrelige. I get it. I get the hypocrisy.

I stopped reading at Ehlers-Danlos syndrome because none of this is rooted in reality. This is just some GenX weirdo bragging about getting laid off tinder.

No one has ever tested my testosterone levels before or after menopause and maybe if they had, I wouldn’t have osteoporosis now unfortunately I know I had high testosterone for a woman before menopause because I didn’t smell the right so I missed my sexual prime

So y’all are ok with cis people taking hrt for sexual reasons but you’re not ok with trans people taking it to treat gender dysphoria Great priorities

Damn, if only trans people could use them to prevent depression. But, nah, impotent men getting it off are far more important.

Woman cheats with married man, breaks up 26 year marriage, and now must remain on a hormone cocktail until she is elderly to keep him interested and from straying. He pretty much says he is only interested in her for the sex. Good luck with that.

I'd say this new, untested, unregulated and dangerous use of hormones needs a review, and we'd better ban anyone from using them until we've satisfied an increasingly impossible to clear barrier. Oh it's for cis people? And there's no far right money funding the anti campaign? Carry on then.

My GP knows I'm ace, but I'm honestly thinking of asking her if I can try T to "improve my libido", and bypass the GIC waiting list. (She already tried to help get me a hysterectomy for "gyne" reasons, so she's a pretty good ally)

Wait, what? Shouldn't this be carefully trialed first before cis people can use cross-gender hormones? You know, like everyone was advocating for trans people.

So if it’s okay when cis women use testosterone, then why is it a problem when trans people use testosterone? It’s almost like the entire point is to villainize a group of people for no reason 🤔
