Proud Minneapolitan here; while we appreciate it greatly, it should be the entire State of Minnesota who is nominated. St. Paul, the suburbs, and even rural areas are all bearing the brunt of the federal occupation, and they are standing up just as courageously as the folks here in Minneapolis. 💜

I hate to be a wet blanket, but there are restrictions on who can nominate. They are not very restrictive, but you still don’t seem to qualify. Would you mind clarifying?

All they need is someone affiliated with the magazine who is a professor in one of the many fields listed. My guess is they can manage that. If not, I’m happy to put them in touch with people who would be eligible nominators…

It really should be the whole state because it’s not just here in Minneapolis taking a stand or experiencing this occupation. I hope people looking from the outside realize that too, even if the two murders (so far) have occurred in Minneapolis.

The whole state!!! Except our politicians, who should get absolutely no credit except those we specifically name (eg Elliott Payne, Brad Tabke, Zaynab Mohamed). Because if fucking Tim Walz pretends he did dick to help….

Minneapolis is allowed to have a sibling rivalry with St. Paul, but I do want to acknowledge them and their side of the metro as well for those not here since they’ve also been living our same nightmare.

WOW - they deserve it. Children, spouses and parents of those murdered by the goons and thugs in daylight should be able to receive it - if the committee - comes from Oslo to Minneapolis for the cermony - we would appreciate it.
