I'm still figuring out who I should follow, but this is so much more pleasant than X. I still hold out hope for the day Elon gives up, sells it for a massive loss and it becomes Twitter again
During the 2 weeks right before election, I clearly noticed that posts from users who don’t support Trump don’t get distributed even though you are actively following them. Their number of views dropped to nearly nothing. Now election is over and it is back to normal. But that pissed me off.
What Elon did had turned X into a political tool. I don’t necessarily against all of his political opinions but I’m sick of the way how he manipulating people’s minds. That’s why I choose to leave X.
I just want to be able to interact with like minded people who aren’t creating drama, stoking hatred, condoning violence and justifying genocide. I will miss the power though. #loveislove#stopthegenocide#transpeoplemattertoo
I've been begging ever since Musk took over Twitter that someone would create an alternative. I don't care if it's left or right people on here just as long as it's not toxic and misinformative
As a foreigner, I always thought this 2 years gap between major elections to be a bit short for anything relevant to succeed. But now I can only pray "they" don't do too much harm before midterms backlash at them (hopefully so).
Good short term because of the election. Let's see if it's got the long term momentum. Hopefully, hopefully. Twitter was great but man, the toxicity just killed it for me
Absolutely this. People with total opposite views started to just virus my timeline and I was like wtf is going on. In the end, I was just swishing up twitter to just ignore all these people. Literally ended up using twitter just for the trending topics to see what was going on in the 🌍
As a brazilian who came to bsky after the temporary twitter ban by our supreme court, I can say to you that many of us are still here. And many more are coming. I think that will be the case for the US too.
It’s the toxicity AND the fact that it’s plagued with bots; worse than facebook even. It’s impossible to find anything remotely close to humans interacting on the comments.
