That is the theme, so far, of the book I just started, called "Sapiens." I'm not too far in but the argument early on is that we enshittified everything for ourselves when we decided that farming was better than being hunter/gatherers. It's fascinating. (author Yuval Noah Harari.)

And thanks to us, the crows know it was the bees who fertilized the plants that give the crows yummy fruit so now the crows and the bees are friends and the bees give them honey in cute lil jars.

Especially in this economy!
