That's fine and all, but it doesn't matter if there are no consequences for the crooks like Alito, Thomas, and Kavanaugh as well as the Chief Justice that enabled the corruption of this court

This was original intent 240 years ago. The root issue with 99.9% of all of our political problems is the obscene tap dance that was done around slavery when all of this was originally written. If not for that, the way the Senate is structured, states, electoral college, etc.... wouldn't exist.

I’d go higher so that it doesn’t matter anymore. 19 justices. They can still do the job but no president would ever get to appoint enough to make a difference.

Expand away but 6 need to be impeached, indicted & convicted of sedition, bribery, collusion with enemies of our nation, & undermining our Constitutional law.

Expanding the court won't work because the shadow docket still allows for justices to hear emergency cases and rule without actually hearing evidence. Since Congress can set jurisdiction of the SC, they need to make all cases regarding Executive power require a full court.

Practically regressive at this point, Moderate would be Expansion, Term Limits, and a provision that the general public can vote a justice into a bear cage for a death match any time they're cross with them.

13 judges is court packing. 30 judges is court reform. roll in double the size of the lower courts and we are talking. but of course hillary, ever the incrementalist, wants to take baby steps when the house is on fire.

no. 2 judges for every district. if we are just trying make some nice clean formula (which i find silly), why not 2x the number of districts? why not 1 for every 10 million ppl? so 33-34 judges? the more the better. make it impossible to control, and each appointment insignificant.

The nominations and the confirmation have become so partisan you are just getting very partisan judges. Kavanaugh, Alito, Roberts, Barrett and Thomas all worked in either the Bush or Reagan administrations or campaigns. That's right, 5 of the 6 Republican appointees had a political background.

I hold the extreme position where we classify the 6 conservatives as enemy combatants and waterboard them until they admit they are communists attacking America.

Yes! Expand the Supreme Court to 13! It would solve so many problems with the current court’s back log and reliance on the shadow docket. Then, institute an ethics code and impeach the Justices who perjured to get appointed or self-dealt. And expand the House of Reps.

Hillary is right, as usual The idiots here saying she's basically republican are being obtuse Either on purpose, or because they are idiots

Nah. Force Alito, Thomas, Roberts, Kavanaugh to all share one tiny basement office. The building was rundown and we had to close your offices for remodeling. It will be done sometime around a quarter to never.

Step out of the spotlight already. I don’t give a shit what she thinks about anything. Her and her husband have caused enough bullshit for people especially the working class. Just go away!

That’s a progressive stance. They are only allowed to be on interviews as long as they go with the progressive’s narrative. It’s like you can only call it a Democracy. Even though it is a Constitutional Republic. If you try to tell the truth, you get tortured and they cut your mic.

This one justice for each circuit bit is silly. There used to be circuit riding. We have had a court of appeals since around 1891. Not having a justice for the federal circuit isn't much of a burden. If it sells okay, but I'm not buying it.

Now do my other policy change. TERM LIMITS on SCOTUS... 18 years sounds totally reasonable (3 terms for a Senator, which is another idea I have, same for Congressman 18 years tops).

Yup. And with 3 per circuit you can stagger that & have the 3 review cases in their circuit for cert to the full SCOTUS, reducing the workload and making it less arbitrary who gets SCOTUS to rule on cases. It's silly that we have the same # of justices we had with less than 1/3 of the population.

Yup, the more radical idea is to embrace originalism as the troll that it always was and refuse to honor the Marbury precedent. Then, using that justification, throw out any SC case decided under originalism. I only bring it up to show that yeah, leaving things as-is and adding justices is moderate.

Go away Hillary! I didn't care about your "emails" but your time is over! Never again do we nominate a nepo person! No more Bushes, no more Clintons and for sure no more trumps!!

While we’re at it, can the rest of us (and not just senators) vote for the third branch of government, the way we already do at the state level? (And likewise make them finite terms, not lifetime)

Join me on the further end of the spectrum in calling for the entire federal judiciary to be doubled: bsky.app/profile/jdre...

Today is a great day to share the new party line: #DoubleTheFederalJudiciary. All we need is simple majorities in both houses of Congress to change the number of district court, appellate, and SCOTUS judges. Not 60 votes to impeach, not 3/4 to change Constitution; simple majorities. That's it.
