Since Louis CK is in the news again, it's worth restating that he never gave an honest accounting of his sexual misconduct—his initial "apology" and his subsequent statements have been contradicted by the testimony of his victims, and contained elisions and gaps intended to exonerate him.

And I hope people cracking transphobic (or ones justifying by the hatred of marginalized people in general!) jokes during a period of *wild organization* against trans rights should be booed at everywhere they go as *a start* 🙂

Idek, it’s nice to dream, but as a personal action it’s certainly easy to treat people who can’t correlate the rise in accepted anti-immigrant/trans/Black bigotry with the erosion of what you’re allowed to say about people behind “It’s a joke” as Just Stupid. Happy to do so.

He was always incredibly unfunny… He tried to rip off Sam Kinison’s style. But Sam was different. You knew he was doing it for shock and awe, a few dark laughs. CK does it because he is actually the twat he’s pretending to be. He isn’t out of character. And funny money is now Far Right, sadly.

I remember one of his old specials was just really, really creepy. Like he made jokes about how much he wished he could do the thing it turns out he was doing to female comedians. Which in retrospect is so very unsettling when combined with some of the other super disturbing "jokes" he'd make.
