Incidentally, Chris Hilton is the lawyer who represents Elon Musk in his defamation lawsuit against Media Matters. Musk is the single largest political donor to Paxton and has repeatedly attacked Talarico on the transgender issue in recent weeks.

To clarify, Texas Transgender Student Union is the bogus anonymous LLC registered in Wyoming, not the real transgender advocacy group it attempted to impersonate.

NEW: Transgender Texas Student Union has retained counsel in response to the Travis County filing related to the fake transgender mailers. It's Chris Hilton, who previously worked for Ken Paxton at the Texas Attorney General's office and left temporarily to defend Paxton in his impeachment trial.

Jan Liggett was removed from office tonight. "Scott Hamilton has unseated incumbent Jan Liggett to become Cambridge‘s next mayor after winning Monday’s municipal election. Hamilton received 17,444 votes, compared with 7,280 for Ryan Bolender and 3,473 for Liggett."

The Bolsonarists didn't change their minds, they didn't suddenly stop believing that their man could do no wrong and that Lula was an existential threat to Brazil. They were simply outvoted by those who refused to risk a return to fascism, and decided not to sit this election out.

Bolsonaro had corrupt media on his side, Meta interference on his side, US propaganda operations, and his party's officials actively sabotaging public transport in Lula strongholds to prevent turnout. Yet he was still beaten by the power of voter turnout.

GenderQueeries 🇨🇦 reposted

It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.

Under the CPBC, I expect BC will follow AB, QC, ON by aggressively privatizing surgeries, diagnostics, long-term care CPBC platform calls for publicly funded vouchers for surgeries and long-term care. This will expand the private for-profit health care industry #bcpoli

Looking like record-low voter turnout in B.C. tonight. With 97.3% of ballot boxes reporting, Elections B.C. reports a turnout of 46.63%.

It appears that @davidebybc.bsky.social - who called an election 2 years early - has led the NDP to the worst loss in a generation. He must be remembered for his hubris, ensuring the elimination of the BC Human Rights Code, DRIPA and state sanctioned bullying of queer and trans kids in schools.

Compulsory heterosexuality in schools is more ideological than acknowledging queer people exist. Erasure will always be more ideological than acknowledging and accurately making space for the stuff that exists in real life.

Per a database of discrimination complaints obtained by @propublica.org , Trump's Department of Education is actively ignoring reports of rape and assault on campuses so they can instead focus on transgender athletes. Their obsession with trans people is actively putting women and girls in danger.
