Hey #GameDev, what are everybody's thoughts on ads in the game dev feed? I'm looking for ways to support my work, so lemme explain about what this would look like. 🧵

Not sure I feel super comfortable with ads not being labeled as ads. I can't complain about ads supporting a free platform, but it needs to be apparent that's what I'm looking at.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I know Graze is working on getting that sorted with Bluesky, but for the time being there's just not a mechanism to indicate an ad. 😞

If they're just regular skeets, can they be forced into using a tag like #Ad or something at the beginning of the post?

Are they doing any sort of metrics on views? What keeps us from adding #Ad to our muted words list and effectively muting all of the ads? Would they even know?
