Go to a recycling/resale shop, get on Craigslist, ask your friends for what you need. Most baby stuff you only need for a few years and then its stored in an attic or given away. AND TAKE YOUR KIDS TO THE LIBRARY FOR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS. REALLY! Books, books and more books.

There's a healthy secondhand market for baby gear, though. You only raise your baby on this gear for a few years. Then, there's not much reason to keep it unless you have another baby.

Don't worry guys I'm going to set up a 1300 ton plastic molding machine in my garage and start cranking them out homegrown. Unrelated, can someone loan me 300 million dollars?
