Why in the world would the GOP want to hide the actual reason for the Civil War: the forced enslavement and exploitation for profit of other human beings? Oh, wait. I think I know.

LOL, you would think they did. He's 2nd gen American. Mom from Scotland, who hates him so much, and granddad fled Germany and, I think, snuck into the States, making his dad an anchor baby, like most of his kids. Apologies if you knew that and were just making a joke.

Should help beat that stubborn Iran! Seriously; does Hegseth ever do anything to strengthen the US's security and defense system? Ok; no, but what about anything whose purpose even purports to? Is there anything of any substance that he's done that hasn't *undermined*.US security and defenses?

The Confederate Constitution explicitly reinforced the legality of slavery. Just a matter of time before Trump declares that the confederacy won the Civil War and that Blacks were perfectly content as slaves.

Thankfully we have detailed records of all the things trump and his sycophants have removed, modified, destroyed, consecrated, & can be historically preserved at great costs which must come from dollars that could have gone to red states. They voted trump into office & must pay for the destruction.

The Confederacy didn’t fight to defend against a War of Northern Aggression. Instigated by wealthy slaveowners, The Confederacy waged war to defend their ”rights” to own people and breed them as livestock. Any memorialization of The Confederacy as some virtuous Lost Cause is pure desecration.

The number one thing I want in a 2028 Dem nominee isn't something you can put in a party platform. I want damnatio memoriae and I need to know that you mean it.

Arlington National Cemetery was officially established as a national military burial ground on June 15, 1864, during the American Civil War. The 200-acre property originally belonged to Mary Anna Randolph Custis Lee, wife of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. The greatest FY in American history.

Just remember that the DOJ has argued that Trump could bulldoze everything in Arlington National Cemetery and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Their actual, in court example was the Statue of Liberty, but it follows…

We are still living with the historical failure of Civil War Reconstruction and our willingness to accept and even condone racism.

I want language to be put back that demonstrates as much contempt and hate for the south as possible. I want to put statues of Grant in every southern city and plaques celebrating John Brown everywhere.

The Vichy Post says it represents an "effort to reshape portrayals of the Civil War" in order to obfuscate the fact that it represents *an explicit endorsement of chattel slavery and the blood shed by Confederate racists to maintain it*.

Trump is truly, truly sick man! Trying to rewrite history like he's trying so desperately trying to alter his presidency, his 2020 loss, his involvement with Epstein and the Epstein files, this unsanctioned war, his own incompetence, etc., etc., etc.

It’s crazy how racism underlies most everything this administration does and stands for. We’re not going to allow them to rewrite history and the fact the confederates wanted to make slavery permanent and were willing to destroy the country to do it. They’re all traitors.
