As an American, I'm not really able to process this. You are not in a medium-sized warehouse? What is the price of your hot dog?

They really, really don't.

In addition, clarify that while presidents have the power to pardon charged or convicted individuals, they also have the power to REVERSE pardons.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Michael Fusella supported President Trump for nearly a decade. But as the Iran war drags on and the cost of living continues to climb, the 21-year-old Republican said he feels betrayed by a president who said he’d end overseas conflicts and lower prices.

Until the people responsible get thrown in jail for contempt, they have no reason to comply. Judges need to actually punish the people running the kidnapping ops. They see the pattern of behavior and so far let it continue. Orders without "or else" punishments do nothing.

“I’ve already climbed all the way up the ladder. Why does the ladder still need to be there?”

“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

this is how you have to treat these guys. with genuine contempt. your genuine contempt makes their smarmy fake contempt look weak and inauthentic. it immediately exposes their game. these guys are just losers who have sworn revenge for every humiliation. humiliate them again

I need someone to give me room to write about this moment in anti Muslim hate because there’s a reason Nidal Hassan is who is being killed by live firing squad. And it’s the same reason Ilhans house was raided.

I think people should listen to what the administration trying to bring back spectacle lynchings, race riots, and middle passage-esque deportation voyages are trying to tell you about themselves. bsky.app/profile/bren...

The news just since I left work: -A planned livestream of an execution by firing squad -Trump basically trying to incite a pogrom against Somalis Nothing mysterious or complicated about what's happening.

I view those “creatives” who use AI to generate creative work with the utmost contempt. In your laziness you have denied yourself the chance to bring forth the depth of your singular human experience and share it with others. You have turned the artistic process into an assembly line Disgusting

We're at the stage of capitalism & anti-communism where when the news tries to do sinophobia we just get excited about government mortgage subsidies and that NINE OUT OF EVERY TEN FAMILIES IN CHINA OWN THEIR OWN HOMES

But Wait! There's More! In this ethics complaint, it says that Boebert and Navarro went to Mar-A-Lago together ... where they were having sex with Matt Gaetz -- together and separately! (On our dime, of course.) And during all of this...

personally while I don’t dispute that Mao had a lot of horrible policy (both in terms of human rights and basic competency), I think “Mao bad” is a thought terminating cliche that doesn’t address how he was an instrumental figure in turning around the fortunes of Chinese people

I'm on the boat too but I'm at the bottom and I'm gonna die with the rest of the staff when they close the gate to the upstairs as the water rises.

We gotta seize this dude and all of his enabler’s assets after this. He’s done too much damage. It’s not enough for these people to just sail away from this on a big boat. That’s our boat.

And the constitutional settlement of it is absolutely part of the inherited structure of the U.S. constitution, which whatever else it was, was *not* an attempt to turn back the constitutional clock to the Stuart side in the English Civil War. It's one unified federal purse. 5/

To the extent there is a plan, this is it. Jensen Huang et al. probably think of this scenario as a safety net, rather than a goal, but it's absolutely the way this is gonna end.

just speculating, but you gotta wonder if they're trying to build a pretense—that their tech is too dangerous to not be under USG control—so the USG will invest in/buy/bail out the company before the AI bubble pops in this increasingly precarious market (and possibly taking the whole economy w/ it)
