The Pentagon released guidelines requiring male service members aged 30 and older to be tested for low testosterone. A new study estimates that about one-quarter of active-duty U.S. Army men may have levels below a commonly used cutoff for low testosterone. https://wapo.st/4sfO8vK

It's not forced, actually. The point is to get More Testosterone To The Troops, there's nothing obligating you to take it (and you almost certainly shouldn't if you don't want to lose your hair).

That is such a dangerous headline. Untested ordinary Joe’s will seek unnecessary supplements or meds, and we’ll have a super aggressive population on our hands. And who will suffer? Old people, women, and children.

What a strange measure for eligibility to serve in the military. One would want someone who has fealty to serve one’s country, strength and stamina to survive the rigors, and intelligence to navigate through tactics and strategics. You don’t need an abundance of testosterone for any of these.

Sometimes high testosterone levels lead to unqualified decision-making (such as the 2026 war with Iran), undermining US strategic influence over an entire region of global significance! Could the intellectual competencies of women's whole-brain thinking be more useful in such cases? 😆

Check out the history of IQ tests. The army introduced them early in the last century. Looking for officer prospects in the ranks. Turned out many officers scored below the standard. Poorly thought out test design was deemed the problem.

Doesn’t giving supplementary testosterone make men more aggressive? Isn’t that what they’re after? Pump normal people with chemicals to make them super aggressive, angry, relentless fighting machines?

For some reason my grandson from the time he was abt 5yo wanted to join the army By 9 he could talk military equipment & tactics from WW2 w any grownup I couldn't understand it but didn't discourage him He's now 20 still very pro-America but lately decided no military for him Thank you Pete Hegseth!

MSNOW had a report that once on testosterone treatments they have to continue for the rest of his life. Is the government paying for this for rest of life? Doctors say if no symptoms not to treat condition. Men in general have lower testosterone than they did decades ago. Testing makes no sense.

Everyone knows testosterone has nothing to do with war fighting, evidently except for the people in charge of warfighting. Never have so many Secretaries held such peculiar beliefs

So...if I'm understanding this correctly, the Pentagon wants to use our tax dollars to see if men who are in or approaching a phase of life during which their testosterone levels naturally take a dip, are actually experiencing that dip in testosterone?🧐
