This is a great story! Don't feel right rooting against Haiti, but definitely feel good rooting for Scotland in this one 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This is so awesome. Coincidentally I just finished Robert Louis Stevenson's the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with other short stories. I hope to visit Scotland one day. Congratulations.

This is good. Recently these last few days, I've been feeling bad. Today alone, someone berated me and called me rude names for a small mistake mistype I did on a live stream. We need to be kind to each other.

if i remember correctly, he walked from glasgow, scotland to munich, southern germany (abt 1k miles) to watch scotland play in the Euro 2024 (and raise awareness). the scots were the absolutely BEST fans munich ever had. since then the world has been drowning… 💔

straight men are taught toxic masculinity by women as much as other men. Moms, wives.....my husband is a rock. Never cries. Women don't like an emotional man. Watch what they like in movies.....friends with the wimp, love the tough, bad guy. Boring already.

Over 80% of domestic violence murders are perpetrated by men. 67% of homeless men require ongoing mental health treatment. 20% of male adolescents need mental health treatment, but 54% of them never get it. We need mental/physical health parity, more providers, and more facilities. This is vital.

Has anyone investigated why men have mental health issues? In Ireland I would speculate it has its roots in the sexual, physical and mental abuse meted out in schools and homes. Rape, paedophilia, torture and psychological abuse was normal for decades. It damages generations going forward.

That makes a lot of sense. But in the U.S. mental health is not on the radar until a tragedy happens. Only then is it mentioned, with condemnation, and only in passing, until the next tragedy. Millions suffer in silence, especially males who are held to societal expectations of toughness.

Not much is done in Ireland either. There is a very expensive, visible pretense at dealing with mental health, but it's incredibly superficial. It amounts to "keep talking" and "counselling". I wish I was joking. I know because I have bipolar.

The intersection of pilgrimage, purpose, and football fandom is fascinating — there's something deeply human about needing a concrete destination to process abstract pain. Wonder if he's discovered things about himself that therapy alone couldn't unlock.

Young white men's mental health (along with all men and people) should be a priority! Vote Blue... Trump or RFK Jr. or Musk, have cut or destroyed so much of ALL HEALTH... research, funding, states aid! I wish I could be alive 30 yrs. from now to READ the historical carnage!
