This is Radley. She asks to "destroy" when she needs to let out extra energy. "She gets plenty of walks and physical activity," her family told us, "but she uses her destroy button when she is craving a little extra chaos." 13/10 (IG: radley_barkley)

I'm a retired special education teacher. This is a genius strategy. Acknowledge there is a preexisting need in their beloved doggie to rip things up, and provide an accommodation for this behavior in the least destructive manner possible that she controls. Where can I get a "destroy" button???

I looked on Amazon, there is no "destroy" button, but there are all kinds of programmable buttons that will record a short one or two word command for dogs, because they're easily trainable to use those buttons. I wanted a preprogrammed DESTROY button!!!

Good tactic. Sometimes people - especially kids - need an outlet for bouts of pent-up aggression. This is a decent way of directing it somewhere relatively harmless. 👍
