We barely said hello to it. Hard to get a car much under 30K. I've always thought there shd still have been a $19K car but profit margins aren't enough for greedy corporations. Instead there are 7-year loan options for a car. Used to be 4 years was the standard max. Needed a cheap option available

Just bought a late model car for $32k about 4 days before auto tariffs. I checked this week and prices for the same model and year are already jacking up $2k to $3k, and that isn't even for new, just used.

So long cars.

They think we're all gonna be rich in 12 months, living the American dream without all those browns and gays. Today's adjustment in the stock market was all they needed to see that this plan is another rousing success from Dear Leader.

The so-called "Gilded Age" that Trump fantasises about was a time when very few people (even in the later years) had phones, electricity, indoor plumbing, safe food/water, cars, decent healthcare, child labor laws etc. These tariffs will send the USA back towards those days. Enjoy the ride to hell.

The door handle broke on my car last month. Kind of took that as a sign to think about buying a new car. But I guess I’m driving with a broken door for the next four years.

Seriously, I bought a stock new Kia Rio in late ‘23 and sticker price was $19k. Literally the cheapest new car I could find back when used cars were basically the same price. This will blow that out of the water.

So workers forced to travel by car - into unsafe work places with no ventilation as virus variants of SARS CoV2 continue to maraude the indoor spaces - rather than working from home- and cars prices shoot up.

You’ll find a lot fewer of those kicking around as tariffs drive up the cost of new vehicles.

That's why I just completely rebuilt the frame and everything else on my 2004 Tacoma. Now I have to figure out how I can build a house while orange boi is dicking around with tariffs!
