SCOOP: FEMA workers will stop knocking on doors to provide aid to survivors in disaster areas, per a memo obtained by WIRED. This comes as the agency is shifting responsibility for recovery efforts to local authorities. Oh, and it's hurricane preparedness week, btw.

The $4 Trillion dollars to their campaign donors isn't gonna magically appear, they demand cuts to the entire country's emergency management systems. Ya'll gotta wait on Joe-Bob & the bass boat to get off the roof during hurricanes. & Bobo his dog to sniff you out of the rubble from the ternado! Sry

I hope this wakes up some of his supporters. Trump cannot blame these irresponsible lapses in aid and ending needed FEMA services on Biden (though he’ll try!).

Well people kept hollering about shutting the government down over the past decade. Wish has been granted. I betcha the next time we have a functioning govt (whenever that will be), there will be no talk of shutting the govt down or federal workers being lazy or enemies of the people. #venting

Oh, and don’t come to blue state looking for money because the orange maggot cut off your FEMA money so don’t know what you’re gonna do for money either go cry to your maggot President he’s the one who has your money or the mentally unhinged lunatic South African neo Nazi. He also has your money.

This is not going to go over well in Florida with all the retirees who may not be completely self-sufficient as hurricane season starts. What about tornado alley in the Deep South, Arkansas, Wyoming? Even if the admin doesn’t care about their lives, the rest of Americans do care that all get help 💙

Well good luck Arkansas Mississippi Louisiana you know all you Red Southern States that don't have much But I do feel sorry for the Black People That live there

Also state taxes. Every state has emergency management staff and they’re partially funded by federal funds. In a state I worked for we’d get FEMA reimbursements for sending state staff to emergency areas to help. That on top of the cost to fix stuff is going to cripple some budgets.

FEMA’s door-to-door canvassing became a political flashpoint last year, when a whistleblower said that one official had told workers to avoid approaching homes with Trump yard signs, claiming there had been a pattern of “hostile encounters” at such homes.

The move comes at a turbulent time for the agency, as it faces staff losses due to DOGE buyouts as well as the termination of major federal climate programs. As hurricane season approaches, employees aren’t sure the agency is ready, as we reported in April.

wired.comFEMA Isn’t Ready for Disaster Season, Workers SayInstability, cuts, and a looming sense of dread have FEMA employees unsure the agency is ready for hurricanes, fires, and floods. “We are being set up for a really, really bad situation," says one.

This is the point. This IS the point. THIS IS THE POINT. How much does a standard issue maga care about the disabled or elderly? Not one little bit. "They shouldn't have gotten old or disabled." They cant say that D's control the weather this time around.

Red states about to be fucked. You ruined the world order that favoured yourselves to a multi-polar one. I will open a bottle of wine whenever a catastrophic event happens in to them.

Don't care, statistically red voters are most likely to be hurt. Either way, the less Americans the better, the less likely they fuck it up for everyone.

You know local authorities are just as likely to have their homes destroyed in the event of local disasters, right? The reason we have federal help is because local people probably won’t be available.

I feel bad for people living in hurricane zones and tornado alley. Between FEMA and NOAA cuts, the uncertainty has got to be crushing! This administration continues to demonstrate their lack of human compassion, the American people deserve so much better
