SNEAK PEEK 👀 Nothing official yet but us overhauling the slow old VSCode extension and graph preview has slowly turned into making a whole new Yarn Spinner editor experience... (will be backported into VScode, plus be in browser, plus electron standalone may allow it on iPad ??? 🤔)

It's on our list to check out! This is still in internal testing. We literally just realised maybe we could put the web version elsewhere, electron-ed it onto an iPad, and went "oh my gosh". Now we have to do the real work of making sure it's performant and viable and able to be distributed.

To this random comment on someone else's post months ago: we saw you, + we are making this happen in the upcoming Yarn Spinner editor. To this end, the dialogue preview is fully customisable and comes with various presets to start with, from commandline to txt chat 👍 bsky.app/profile/bits...

This is so smart! We usually work in YarnSpinner. I might have to spin something up like this for my writer 👀

Yeahhhh We don't have the means to maintain a full text editor. On the other hand, we're real sick of the increasing incantations it takes to turn off Copilot in VSCode. We tried making something wrapping Monaco, but it wasn't performant. We recently found CodeMirror, and it's testing much better.
