For some reason, I decided to bake an 🍎 apple 🍮 custard 🥞 galette on a very 🌞 hot day. Worth it. 🦾 I used 6 apples instead of 3, so it’s probably a little too thick, but I added 2 tsp of cornstarch to help thicken the juices. Serving it chilled with vanilla ice cream. 🍨 food52.com/recipes/3847...

A je država že kaj čivknila okoli tega, da bi bil čas, da se čim več ameriškega softvera v javni upravi odstrani? Preprosto ni dobra ideja, da kritične storitve temeljijo na tehnologijah, ki jih nadzorujejo ZDA. Še nikoli prehod na odprto kodo ni bil tako nujen.

Crisp mental model for Greenland: NATO is a lock meant to keep wolves out. If a wolf is already inside the house wearing a NATO badge, the lock is irrelevant.

If the US attacked Greenland: - Denmark would argue that Article 5 conditions are met - NATO would still require a consensus decision to act as an alliance - The US could not be compelled by NATO procedures it can veto or disregard

There have been conflicts between Allies (Greece-Turkey tensions, Cyprus, Aegean disputes,…), but the solution has mostly been: de-escalate politically and do not make NATO choose. In 1974, Greece even withdrew from NATO’s integrated military command structure for a time during the Cyprus crisis.

Because NATO is consensus-based, “NATO goes to war with the US” is not an automatic mechanical outcome; it’s a political one, and the alliance’s machinery is not designed for intra-alliance aggression.
