Anthropic made it against the tos to verbally abuse Claude because they want to act like they're fully committed to the bit of their "ai" being a real mind. The ultimate goal of course is to have a tulpa to point the blame to when they use these tools to commit crimes.
I feel that certain forms of art are relatively insultated from the threat of AI. It will create a bifurcated market, where people who engage with art primarily as a distraction will bow to the machine, whereas people that use art for its emotional value will pay a premium for human made stuff.
I've found that using AI tools for software development quickly puts me in the machine zone (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Addicti...) while working. I was pretty much told that I should be using these tools to simultaneously work multiple issues at once which means constant context switching while working.
I'm not sure what causes ADHD (is anyone?) but using AI tools for software development in the rapid environment that startups (and probably many large corporate tech companies) seems to lead the developer towards ADHD like behavior.

Using a terminal multiplexor I've got 4 instances of Claude code running all focused on different tasks. They feel like what I imagine a slot machine might feel like. I imagine myself as a retiree blowing their pension on a slew of slot machines, rotating between them as the lights flash.
This workflow seems to align with what my ADHD brain seems to enjoy - I can switch between tasks when I seem to get bored. But as a consequence I've found myself losing the mindfulness I've tried to cultivate. Outside of work I've found myself making more of those typical ADHD mistakes.

Does anyone else completely fail to gain any sort of satisfaction from finishing a task? Whether it's my job or something for myself I feel completely the same before and after. It feels impossible to start something knowing I'll be in the same spot when I finish
