Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

The late 19th and early 20th century fascinate me because they like they have one foot in a more mystic, folkloric, superstitious past and one foot in what we could begin to call the "modern" world

Today google turned on even more genAI features for businesses who pay for google suites, which means a lot more things to turn off. It automatically turned on reading all your email and docs for generative AI learning so that probably already happened. Turn it off in your admin panel here:

The Heritage Foundation laid out how they were going to rescind Title IX, the law that prohibits sex discrimination in education, by first targeting trans people's participation in sport. Capitulating on the human rights of transgender people is catastrophically falling at the first hurdle.

One of my college professors told us about about a Shakespeare scene in which someone is looking through a crack in a wall. He said in the original version an actor played the wall, and the crack was his ass. The stage direction was *Opens Crack*
