I've been volunteering with Stony Point Elementary for years, getting kids outside for hands on learning experiences. We're piloting an outdoor education program to expand this work and we're ready to hire a coordinator. Please share! Posted on ACPS under Elementary Outdoor Education Coordinator.

Maryland just released its own vaccine recommendations based on guidance from established medical and scientific organizations instead of the Trump administration. With unqualified leaders at the helm, states can and—should—step up to protect their communities.

I think that Dolly Parton was, for a lot of people, an ambassador of the "good" values people think of about the South: kindness, hospitality, can-do spirit, sharp and witty and down to earth. I think for a segment of people, too, she was theantithesis of a lot of noxious masculine country stuff.
I think the universal grieving comes in no small part from the fact she represented the best of what America could be, and that she never stopped chasing that ideal, artistically and socially

There's a perverse symbolism in the legacy of White racism sheltering under the bowers of all African Americans have done for this country while patiently waiting for the chance to go back to insisting we are a drain upon their society and that they never needed us at all.

yes. change the statute on which this decision turned and redistrict according to the legitimacy conferred by the people of the state
Virginia Gov @abigailspanberger.com and Democratic legislature should pass immediate legislation to redistrict anyway. If the old confederate states can do it post Callais - so can Dems in Virginia if they care about saving our democracy.

Air pollution does not stay within county lines. Reminder that the proposed plant will also impact air quality in Scottsville, Esmont, and Keswick.
In today's email newsletter: The Fluvanna Board of Supervisors will vote on the proposed Tenaska power plant. Here's what you need to know and how to be heard.

Waterways and wildlife will also be impacted. The plant would take 7 to 8 million gallons of water per day from the James River for cooling purposes, discharging heated water into either the Rivanna River or Cunningham Creek.

“The key takeaway is a message of hope—the effects of Alzheimer's disease may not be inevitably permanent. The damaged brain can, under some conditions, repair itself and regain function.”
Grateful to work with Wild Virginia. Excited to see where this leads.
