Most organisations want accessible websites, but their colour palettes weren't built for it. Plenty of contrast checkers flag the problems. We couldn't find one that helps fix them, so we made one. Introducing...✨This hue shall pass✨ thishueshallpass.clearleft.com

BTW, hat tip to @adactio.com for pointing me to many of the articles I’ve been sharing. His RSS feed of links has always been great source, and it was one of the things I tried to catch up on this weekend while I was sick. adactio.com/links

[This is not an endorsement of Jeremy or Apple's opinion] The TAG invited Jeremy to talk about web installs at our F2F last week, as a rep for devs. It's the 1st time (in my time) that we've invited a dev to get their direct input into standards work & the consensus was that we should do it more!

On Apple’s refusal to consider installable web apps. Very relevant to the news industry: we at NYT can afford dev teams to make mobile apps but a lot of smaller news orgs can’t. And they’d really benefit from things like home screen icons, web push… if only Apple made the install path discoverable.
