I love this so much. "Play the game exactly how you need to." I have often had to tap out of an action/RPG narrative game and read the rest of the plot online because I couldn't get past some of the encounters. So being able to experience the entire story in-game is always amazing.

This thread explains so much of my highschool experience! A strong downward spiral on subjects that either did not align with intrinsic interest AND/OR had especially stressful testing contexts. Frequently blanking out on those tests in ways that seemed impossible to explain. No support from school

The experience of forgetting things you actually know when under stress with ADHD has a name I recently discovered - 'mnemonic blockade', and I found out how it might happen. a thread about this...

Good news, the audio version of Neurodiversity: A Very Short Introduction is out now on Audible, Spotify, etc.! I also have three codes for free Spotify copies, so we can do a competition. Just share and like this and I'll pick three people at random to get the codes this weekend.

Perimenopause/menopause is a massively significant factor in lifelong ADHD struggles being identified finally. Women with ADHD often don't get to "have" ADHD due to the expectations placed on them due to societal expectations. That often becomes impossible to manage during this change.

Very important thread for women struggling with an early onset of the change, or other mental health challenges from mid thirties onward to consider. Especially if deep down you have been struggling always & feeling like nobody handed you the manual to life everyone else seemed to grasp intuitively.

People seeking support for lifelong struggles isn't a trend. False positive identifications are extremely rare. I have had one in three years of assessing people where social media misinformation had swayed someone who did not have ADHD, using the DIVA-5.

Echoing this to say that $1 a month to a creator whose work you like is equivalent to easily a thousand ad-supported views on their videos. Even a little bit of support makes a hugely outsized difference - pick your favourites and support where you can.
