Art drawn by people who very rarely make art and think they are “bad at art” is 1000x cooler than AI art. It’s life-affirming. It’s often unexpected. I cannot overemphasize how much I love when people just go for it. You do not need the machine for this human endeavor.

This is key: a likely “AI in animation” scenario would be one of animators forced to fix sloppy AI animation, instead of simply hiring them to do a better job from the start. Less pay, less staff, less time, a stack of awful AI slop to fix.

To build off this: people asking for a “Trending” tab are well-intentioned, but I don’t enjoy using Twitter for news. If Bluesky ever gets one, *keep it optional*. After a while the constant fear-mongering and seeing WW3 trending all the time is tiring when I just want to be an actor in peace.
