Not the actor from Star Wars, Dr Who, or The Tweenies - asking me trivia on any of these risks fabricated replies. Open to exchanging opinions on Leeds, music, politics, Age of Sail navy, and vague memories of the 20th century.

The replies to this Fess are a fantastically grim illustration of how easily people get outraged by what they *think* they’ve read. No wonder the internet turned into such a shitshow.

After taking the kids swimming I quickly check the empty lockers for any left over £1 coins. I earn over £100k per annum

Wrong day, right prediction. #lufc

Dull 0-0 followed by stream of vitriol directed at Farke for the timing and choice of his subs, and the summer recruitment that didn’t lead to us signing Mbappe and getting Raphina back. #lufc

I'm a director of a wood stove company. I know my product harms my customers and their neighbours but the work is undemanding, pays well and affords me plenty of time with family. They'll be banned soon so there's no point resigning or moving to a more ethical industry now.

You are a team guard. Please complete the following sentence:

We are getting an update that it was “a family of four” And a brief lesson on “swans are protected by the crown” with a side comment of “we cannot simply plough into them like …” (announcer stops themselves) Followed by advice to use delay repay scheme if applicable

“The government has (slight sigh) *finally* approved the…Jackdaw gas field. It was a decision welcomed by Leader of the Opposition Kemi Badenoch…” BBCR4 lunchtime news. I’m no fan of Burnham’s Labour, but they’re having to deal with ridiculously unbalanced reporting.

Before these fancy electronical subs boards, someone could simply have hidden all the number 1s from the fourth official, and kept Brendan on the bench indefinitely. #lufc

Southern visitor to Leeds tries to pop out for a quick drink on her own…. To think that Yorkshire gets mocked for being overly-proud of itself.

I was…looked after. The bar owner put two free drinks behind the bar for me and forced me into a pub quiz team. It’s more than I’d imbibe on a school night but I didn’t want to be rude

Last March, a mate of a mate found an old band demo tape in a loft in Leigh, last seen in '91 Fast Forward to the BFI last night where one of those songs was played in a Hollywood Movie putting our names in the credits Proud of the kids we were and what we've FINALLY achieved #MISTYGREEN

Crewe Alexandra Chairman on BBCR4 talking about reallocation of football funds to smaller clubs so “…everyone’s not chasing the dragon”. I’m not sure what phrase he was after, but don’t think that’s what he meant….

Amazing live performances by The Specials in Coventry, comical improvised videos to go with songs, as well as them getting interviewed in the front room at Two Tone HQ. Bless him, Terry Hall looks about 12. #musicsky #ska

Rudies Come Back: The Rise and Rise of Two Tone (Arena, BBC iplayer), is fantastic. Watching The Selecter record 3 Minute Hero

Who is this fucking loon on R4? You have to consider the “Hamas factor” with the French student protests, especially with the October 7th anniversary coming up? What a deranged association to make…

This is a visual I think you’d enjoy @robmanuel.b3ta.com - I’m surprised at a couple of the Ringo absences, but then I gave them a listen with that in mind and it made sense.

A Venn diagram showing the Beatle songs (released 1962-1970) that didn’t feature all four Beatles. Just found this - I did it over ten years ago as part of a planned bigger project and never posted it anywhere at the time.

Below points out that if Man C have been cooking the books between 08’ and 17’, they have absolutely been continuing to do it since… The current ownership regime must not be allowed to stay in football #lufc

Today it’s 50 years since I first presented Playschool wearing my blue beads and silver heart. I adore bringing joy into the lives of my Playschool Babies during the 12 years I was on the programme. ❤️

Well, that’s another reputation in tatters then…

Newly uncovered archival documents have raised questions over whether Adolf Hitler could have murdered his half-niece, whose death in his Munich apartment in 1931 was officially ruled a suicide. https://cnn.it/4z2o9Ko

My Bloody Valentine are rarely a first choice of listen, but anytime “Only Shallow” comes on the car radio I go full volume without even thinking about it.

Think I’d be more likely to go to more cricket matches if there was a booze-free stand. Surely 45 minutes without a pint is an endurable hardship?

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

You have to wonder if this a decent journalist frustrated at her editors’ decisions, simply getting round them to cover a story that she feels ought to be out there. Feels like it.
