It’s been a while. I’m glad to be back.

In the market for a new monitor. Currently using a 34” Ultrawide, but not tied down to the size. I’ve got a MBP and PC that I’d be connecting to it. Mostly web based work, with light gaming and coding. Any suggestions appreciated! #tech #wfh

Closed a couple positions early today to prevent taking a max loss when they expired, only for them to come back and be profitable at the end of the day 🤦‍♂️ Lesson learned. #options #stocks #trading

What are people using nowadays for blogging? In the past I’ve used Ghost, Medium, and Wordpress. Im not looking to monetize anything, just want something that’s somewhat easy to get rolling, with minimal maintenance on my end. #blogging

Anytime I see a long thread from @dieworkwear.bsky.social I know I’m in for a good time. Always so full of knowledge.

This song had better be released on Apple Music, immediately! #WWDC

Time for Cloudward, Ho! #Dimension20

Monaco is such a boring race 😞

It’s time.

The more and more I read about the GRC side of things, the more interested I am in pivoting over to it.

But really though.

I really don’t understand the Browns.

Nothing like waking up for work, opening up your laptop, only to find it unenrolled from everything 😅 It was a mistake and I’m back in now, but the pit in my stomach was massive

Steampunk! #Dimension20 #CloudwardHo

innie Mark just made the list. 😡

Learning to trade options is so interesting. All the different strategies people put in place in order to try and capture profit. One day I'll make the jump with real money, but for now paper trading will suffice 😅

Some of the logic seen in #TheTraitorsUS with regards to voting just breaks my brain.

Be the helpers Mr. Rogers said to look for.

Just finished reading Rubicon by J.S. Dewes - really solid book until the very end, which left me feeling unsatisfied. I'm not sure if she's planning on writing a sequel to it, but I'll give it a read if she does. With that said, I've finished 6 books this year. 25 should be easy! #booksky

What is with this scoreboard, sheesh #SuperBowl

Just wanted to shout out @matthewmercer.bsky.social and the entire rest of Critical Role for sharing their time with us in Campaign 3. It’ll always hold a special place in my heart as my son was born early on in the campaign on a Thursday, and we’ve sung the theme song every week since then 🥹

Finished The Divide series by J.S. Dewes - I really enjoyed them overall, but I don’t know how I feel about the turnout of the small romance plot within it, the pairing doesn’t make sense to me. Overall 4 out of 5 stars.

So one of my assignments this semester is to download Duolingo and use it for 10 minutes a day, taking notes and whatnot. I chose Korean. Some of the differences in pronunciations are so difficult for me to recognize without AirPods in. I’m gonna be cooked if I ever get to visit 😭

Just finished reading The Last Watch by J.S Dewes (thanks for the recommendation @qualia1.bsky.social) - time to start book 2. Funnily enough, I had checked out a book a few weeks ago called Rubicon, and she wrote that as well!

Went to go make an egg following the tips given in Brian Lagerstroms latest video (youtu.be/AsY_E5kifdc?...) only to fumble at the last minute while plating it 😭

Amazing life hack: learn how to be genuinely happy for other people. Don't feel threatened by others' happiness. Don't go into comparison mode. Don't be a wet blanket. Don't avoid it. Embrace others' happiness. Bask in it. Let their smile become your smile. Let it infect you. Let it lift you up.

If you don't 100% unequivocally support trans rights, unfollow me. You will find no comfort here.

Seeing a bunch of the communities that I frequent on Reddit banning Twitter links is fantastic.

Imagine being a WW2 veteran and seeing this. My grandfather is rolling over in his grave.

Anyone got any good recs on stained glass artists? This piece belonged to my grandpa, it’s his initials, Clark Cornwall Shire. It hung in the window of his office and I was so honored when my Mom gave it to me. I will always regret not saving it. I need some help recreating it ❤️

Any recommendations for sci-fi books to read? I enjoy books similar to Starship Troopers, Enders Game, and the Expanse series (I guess I like military sci-fi 😅) #BookSky

My next semester of school starts tomorrow - and I am reminded once again how much I dislike Cengage.

Absurd.

In the wake of Meta’s decision to remove its third-party fact-checking system and loosen content moderation policies, here's how to delete your Facebook, Instagram, and Threads accounts

Finished “A Killing Cold” by Kate Alice Marshall today after starting it yesterday. Pretty solid read imo. Hopefully future books from BOTM match up! #BookSky📚

So having driven a Tesla for a while now and seeing the issues pop up with cameras and such during the FSD tests I’ve done, I really have no idea how they hope to make CyberCabs viable during winter/night driving. I frequently get booted out of FSD due to the cameras being blinded.

Does anyone have any suggestions for books to help foster creativity? I’d like to read through some so I can work on that for 2025 and beyond. #Booksky

Can someone explain why the Shift browser seems so popular? Seeing a lot of detections for it in CrowdStrike today, and had never heard of it prior. #Cybersecurity #Crowdstrike

It’s always a good feeling to be told that someone sees a bright future for you, and with that, I’m officially on winter break!

Just learned about Clearsky, only to find that I’m blocked by 8 users 😅 Not that it matters in the end but I’m always curious about what leads to a block.

Using ChatGPT to help format reports is so convenient. Boss wrote a custom GPT for it, so we just feed it the relevant info, let it expand on it, add/remove things as needed and send it off. Saves so much time.

Almost done with my first semester at @arizonastateuni.bsky.social, looking forward to the break but excited to be getting somewhere.

The new Wicked album is out, so I listened to Popular and Defying Gravity (as one does) and I enjoy them! I wish that For Good was included, as it’s a song with special meaning to me, but I suppose we’ll see that in the next one.
